Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To aim at securing such a fused carbonate type fuel cell that is small in contact resistance between an electrode and a separator as well as excellent in battery characteristics, by layering a unific something made up of the electrode and separator as one body via an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Each of unific somethings 8 and 9 comprising this electrode and a separator as one body are disposed at both sides of the separator 81 with electrodes 82 and 83 unified as well, and at the separator 81 side of the unific electrodes 82 and 83, there are provided with gas passages 84 and 85 for fuel or oxidizer gas respectively. These gases are fed to gas passages 84 and 85 from gas inlet ports 86 and 87 and so designed as to be exhausted out of gas outlet ports 88 and 89. To manufactrure a suchlike electrode-separator unific body, it needs the following processes that when the unified one is buried beneath metal powder, a main component material for the electrode, whereby vanishes from sight, a vanishing pattern making up a passage for fuel or oxidizer gas is set up in the separator 81, then said electrode component metal powder is filled up and molded in a clearance part between the separator and the vanishing pattern. Nest, the vanishing pattern inside a compact is removed with heat or a solvent and thereby these gas passages 84 and 85 for the fuel and oxidizer gases are manufactured.
