CONSOLIDATING METHOD FOR OKURI-KANA NOTATION

PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a user by deciding automatically an okuri- KANA (Kana added after a Chinese character to show its Japanese inflection) type to be consolidated. CONSTITUTION:An okuri-KANA table 2 is the one where an okuri-KANA notation and the okuri-KANA type are registered correspondingly, and at an okuri-KANA type discriminating means 3, by collating the okuri-KANA table 2 with a character string in which a Chinese character and KANA are mixed stored at a character string storing means 1, the okuri-KANA type of okuri- KANA notation appeared in the same Chinese character and KANA mixed character row is discriminated, being outputted to an okuri-KANA type deciding means 4. At the okuri-KANA type deciding means, the okuri-KANA type to be consolidated is decided based upon the discriminated result of the okuri- KANA type discriminating means 3. A decided okuri-KANA type and a decided okuri-KANA notation that is not fitted to the decided okuri-KANA type are outputted to an okuri-KANA notation conversion means 5 and is converted to the okuri-KANA notation and outputted by referring the okuri-KANA table 2.
