TEMPORARY RECEIVING WORK FOR EXISTING STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To permit temporary receiving work to be performed in a short time without damaging an existing structure by temporarily bearing the vertical load of the existing structure by the peripheral friction of a pile-like solidified body. CONSTITUTION:A solidifying agent, e.g., cement milk, grout, etc., is injected under pressure from a working space 5 excavated below a drift 1 into the ground 6o to form a large-diameter(e.g., several meters) pile-like solidified body 7. Before the body 7 is completely hardened, a steel material 8, e.g., H-shaped steel, etc., is penetrated into the body 7. In this case, although the vertical load of an existing drift 1 is transmitted through the material 8 to the body 7, great friction is produced between the body 7 and the surrounding ground 6 because of the great surface area of the body 7.
