ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To suppress abrasion of the surface of a photosensitive body and deterioration of the functions of an optical system and to maintain photoelectric characteristics good by forming a surface layer decreasing in photosensitivity toward the surface. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic charge transfer layer CTL 2 made of an Se-Te alloy, and a charge generating layer CGL 3 made of an Se-Te alloy more in the Te content than this CTL 2, and the surface layer SL 4 are laminated in succession on a conductive substrate 1 made of Al or the like to form the electrophotographic sensitive body. At that time, the Te concentration of the SL 4 is continuously decreased from the CGL3 to the surface side of the photosensitive body and an average concentration gradient G is set, preferably, to 2-20, especially, to 3-10.
