DATA COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To prevent the misoperation of an operator by outputting a voice message requesting the operator to switch a line (subscriber line) to a data terminal equipment side when no non-voice terminal identification signal is detected within a prescribed time after the line is established. CONSTITUTION:A communication control section 1 reads destination information CD as to a destination address elapsed with a sending time from a sending list storage section 4. If the value of retransmission number of times CC is smaller than the set maximum value, the number CC is incremented by one to allow a network controller 6 to close the line, the destination number CN is transferred to the network controller 6 to make the destination call. The destination is in ringing, the subscriber line of the destination is hooked off to complete the line connection, then the time corresponding to the destination number CN is set to a timer circuit 5, which is started. If no non-voice terminal identification signal is replied from the destination till the timer circuit 5 is in timeover, the control section 1 starts the voice reply device and sends the voice message requesting the line changeover to the destination when the number of times of voice reply set internally is a prescribed maximum value or below.
