OPTICAL AXIS CONTROLLING METHOD FOR OPTICAL HEAD

PURPOSE:To eliminate an optical axis inclination adjusting signal generating system and to reduce cost of an information recording and reproducing device by reading and storing data of inclination in each area recorded in an information recording medium by an information recording and reproducing device and controlling the optical axis of an optical head of the information recording and reproducing device based on stored data. CONSTITUTION:The information recording face 4 of a disk 2 is divided into areas, and the number of each area and the value of inclination of each area are recorded as data in a proper position of the information recording face 4 of the disk 2. When operations such as recording, reproducing or erasing of information are made in each area of the information recording face by an optical disk unit, the optical disk unit sends a command to an optical axis inclination adjustment driving source 26 to turn an optical head 10 around a fulcrum 16, and makes the optical axis 14 of an objective lens 12 vertical to each area.
