SINGLE POINT MOORING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simplify the connecting structure of a single point mooring device for a moored floating body by connecting a connecting frame member having a ballast tank attached to its extreme end and the moored floating body through a pair of right and left steel chains suspended therebetween. CONSTITUTION:Under the action of wind and waves and tidal current, the moored floating body 5, pivotally rotated around an inner cylindrical buoys 3, 2 and mooring ropes 01 to the sea bottom. In this case, the connecting frame member 4 and the mooring floating body 5 are connected through a pair of right and left steel chains 4b, and such a simple structure increases the degree of freedom with respect to horizontal force and twisting moment. Further, the connecting frame member 4 is provided at its extreme end with a ballast tank 4a, and the weight of the ballast water and the steel chains 4b rotatably supported by the supporting frame member 5c cooperate to produce a spring effect which is the combination of pendulum action and restoring force. When separated, the ballast tank 4a serves as a buoyancy tank and can float along with the inner cylindrical buoy 2.
