Zusammenfassung:	NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is H or methyl; X is Cl or F). EXAMPLE:4,6-Diallyloxy-2,5-difluoroisophthalonitrile. USE:Useful as a monomer for synthetic resin, crosslinking agent for unsaturated polyester and plasticizer for vinyl chloride resin or cellulosic resin. A polymeric material having excellent heat resistance and water resistance can be produced from the compound. The compound has high rate of cure. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting the compound of formula II (X is Cl or F; Z is F) with the compound of formula III (Y is OH) in the absence of solvent or in a solvent (e.g. acetonitrile) at -60-+80 deg.C preferably in the presence of a base or a salt (e.g. triethylamine).
