Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enhance the degree of freedom for arbitrarily regulating an oscillation frequency by regulating a control current flowing to a control winding by the output regulation of a variable DC power source. CONSTITUTION:An one-element self-excited oscillation type AC high voltage power source connects an oscillator 1 in which the primary winding N1 of a high voltage transformer and a tuning capacitor C1 are connected in parallel through a switching transistor (Tr) with a DC power source Vcc, the voltage of a negative feedback winding N2 is applied to the base of the Tr to drive it. The output voltage is output from the secondary widing N3 of a transformer T through a smoothing condenser C3. In this case, a control winding N4 is connected with the transformer T, first and second (positive, negative) variable DC power sources E1, E2 switched and connected by a changeover switch S1 through the choke coil L1 of a current limiter are provided at the winding N4. Thus, a control current is supplied to the winding N4 to alter the equivalent impedance of the high voltage transformer T, thereby varying an oscillation frequency.
