APPARATUS FOR FILTERING AND DEHYDRATING SUSPENSION

PURPOSE:To efficiently and continuously filter and dehydrate suspension, by feeding suspension between a filter member provided on the peripheral surface of a rotary body intermittently rotated and a compartment member positioned oppositely thereto. CONSTITUTION:A rotary drum 2 which is a rotary body is freely-rotatably supported to a mechanical frame 1 via a rotating shaft 3 and also a hydraulic cylinder 8 is fitted thereto. A housing 9 wherein the lower face is opened and the upper face and the up-and-down ends of both sides are bent and formed in a circular arc-shape along the rotary drum 2 is fixed so as to oppositely contact the rotary drum 2 to the tip of the cylinder rod of this hydraulic cylinder 8. Furthermore two pieces of introduction pipes 10a, 10b for introducing suspension into the inside are provided to the housing 9. Suspension is fed in a pressurized state between the filter member of the rotary drum 2 and the compartment member of the housing 9, and filtered and dehydrated, on the other hand, the filtered and dehydrated residue is discharged by the rotation of the rotary drum 2.
