Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To ensure the durability of external appearance quality and improve closing quality for an open/close body by concealing an area from the side part of the inner side of a welt to the side part of the outside of the welt via a seal body with a cloth cover having a larger elongation percentage in a direction orthogonal with the longer side of the welt. CONSTITUTION:A body side seal 50 is provided with a resin welt 60 connected to the coupling flange 1c of a roof side rail 1 as a part of an automobile body. Also, a rubber seal 70 is concurrently extrusion bonded to the side part 62 of the outside of the welt 60. Furthermore, the side part 64 of the inner side of the welt 60 to the side part 62 of the outside of the welt 60 via a seal body 70 is concealed with a cloth cover 80. In this case, the cover 80 is made of cloth having an elongation percentage (beta) in a direction 'K' orthogonal with the longer side of the welt 60 larger than an elongation percentage (lambdaalpha) in a direction 'L' along the longer side of the welt 60. According to the aforesaid constitution, external appearance quality can be maintained for a long period and good closing quantity can be kept for an open/close body.
