TOUCH PANEL INPUT DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of mistaken inputs of an operator by displaying the position of the operator's finger or a projection on a display screen through a cursor. CONSTITUTION:If the operator 21 places his finger or a projection in a position that a sensor 33 right above a touch panel 21 can detects, a sensor read circuit 12 reads the scan process of a sensor scan circuit 11, makes sure of the detection, and notifies a display control circuit 14 of the detected position. According to the detected position, the display control circuit 14 transmits display data replacing contents in a memory to a graphic memory 13, and controls a color CRT display 16 so as to display the contents after the cursor is moved to the position. The graphic memory 13 stores display data, and transmits the cursor position to the color CRT display 16 through a CRT interface circuit 15. According to the designation of the cursor position stored in the graphic memory 13 and the cursor display instruction of a display controller 14, the color CRT display 16 displays the cursor in the position.
