DOCUMENT EDITING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To easily set the range of read by providing an alignment mark representing an image read start position of an original to the outer face of a reader section to use it as an aim for the start position reading the original image by the reader section. CONSTITUTION:An alignment mark A3 is provided to the upper face of the upper case 1, an alignment mark B4 is provided to the side face, and an alignment mark C5 is provided to the side face and they are made perpendicular to the original 10. Further, the alignment marks B4, C5 are provided in a line horizontally in mounting the reader section main body on a carriage 9. Thus, the image position of the original with respect to the reader is aligned by the alignment mark A3 at the upper face of the upper case 1 in the longitudinal direction and aligned by the alignment marks B4, C5 in the lateral direction. Thus, the user aligns the image position of the original with the reader simply.
