Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:A medical, agricultural and industrial insecticide and/or antimicrobial agent containing a terpenic propargyl ether or terpenic iodopropargyl ether as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An insecticide containing a compound expressed by formula I (R is terpene group), e.g. (bornan-2-yl)-2-propynyl ether, as an active ingredient and antimicrobial agent and insecticide containing a compound expressed by formula II, e.g. 3-iodo-(3,7-dimethylocta-2-trans-6-dienyl)-2-propynyl ether, as an active ingredient. The antimicrobial agent is used as a remedy for external diseases caused by molds in the form of a solution or ointment with 0.5-2% active ingredient content. Furthermore, the agent is used as an antimicrobial agent or insecticide in the industrial field in the form of oil solution, paste, dust, antifungal coating material, etc., with 0.2-40wt% active ingredient content.
