INTERFACE CIRCUIT FOR BROADCAST EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To simplify a transmission/reception constitution by designing that a video signal and an audio signal are transmitted/received through one channel. CONSTITUTION:Video timing reference data VFTR, VRTR formed by a video reference addition circuit 6 are added to a video data VPDAT as the one channel from a digital luminance signal DY and digital color difference signals DR-Y, DB-Y at a multiplexer 4 and the result is given to a switch circuit 7. Further, digital audio signals DA1-DA4 are subjected to time base compression at an audio data processing circuit 12, and then audio data timing reference data AFTR, ARTR are added at an audio reference addition circuit 13 and the result is given to the switch circuit 7. The switch circuit 7 switches selectively the signals VCOL, ACOL and the result is outputted. Thus, a signal formed as one channel from the video signal and the audio signal is sent and the transmission system is simplified.
