STARTING VALVE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To carry out the driving and stopping of an internal combustion engine highly efficiently by providing an open air port on a valve casing and installing a piston body which can close a compressed air feeding port on a valve body which is fitted in said valve casing. CONSTITUTION:A starting valve is formed by installing a valve body 3 for opening and closing an opening part to a cylinder chamber 1, in a valve casing into which a compressed air from a compressed air feeding port 2A is introduced, and the valve body 3 is opened at a defined timing, to make the compressed air act on a piston in a cylinder chamber 1. And, an open air port 12 is provided on the valve casing 2, while a piston body 16 which can close the compressed air feeding port 2A while on which a connecting passage 18 for connecting the open air port 12 to the inside of the valve casing 2 is provided, is fitted to a valve body 3. At the time of the up stroke of the piston, the valve body 3 is opened while the piston body 16 is lowered to connect the open air port 12, thereby, checking a compressing action.
