Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To simplify a work and to shorten the time of interruption of use by a user by replacing the device by copying a magnetic disk device in use to an unused magnetic disk device. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a volume copying means 2 that copies a magnetic disk device 10 used to an unused magnetic disk device 11 constituted in the same system, a device constituting table 7, a device replacing means 6, an input/output control means 4 controls to issue only input/output issued by the volume copying means 2, an input/output determining means 5, a device replacing information setting means 8 and a device replacing information releasing means 9 that set and release replacing information so as to control the input/output control means and an input/output resuming means 3. Thus, by copying a magnetic disk device used to an unused magnetic disk device and device replacing is made by operation of the device constituting table, the process is made simple, and the time of interruption of used by a user is shortened.
