GLASS RUN FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To obtain high slidability and abrasion resistance by forming a skid coat on the slided surface of a glass run from straight PVC containing a skid material and among other coats, applying the skid coat to groove bottom contacting a glass edge via a specific primer layer. CONSTITUTION:In the constitution wherein skid coats 3 and 5 are formed on each slided surface of a base material 1 comprising an elastomer compound containing a plastic agent of ester system, each of the skid coats 3 and 5 is made from a coat composition composed of straight PVC (polyvinyl chloride) containing a skid material. Also, referring to said skid coats 3 and 5, the coat on the groove bottom 1a of the base material 1 with which the edge of glass 'G' is in slidable contact, is formed via a primer layer 2 with a polymer of rubber system containing chlorine as a base between the coat and the base material 1. According to the aforesaid constitution, the bleeding (transfer) of said plastic agent from the base material 1 to the skid coat 3 is prevented and the coat 3 can be maintained at a predetermined thickness and given high skid quality and abrasion resistance.
