Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enhance high temp. exhaust gas treatment efficiency, by a method wherein specific mutually superposed contact parts and the filled contact part of the outer peripheral surface of a laminated body and the inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical case are fused and fixed by a Ni-P alloy plating layer. CONSTITUTION:Plate-shaped metal strip materials 2 are laminated to a corrugated board-shaped metal strip material 3 so that mutually superposed contact parts thereof are bonded through the Ni-P alloy plating layer 4 applied to at least one strip material 2 to form a laminated body 6. Subsequently, the laminated body 1 is mounted in a cylindrical case 6 and the whole is passed through a furnace to be heat-treated. By this method, the Ni-P alloy plating layer 4 is melted to collectively and simultaneously fuse and fix the mutually superposed contact parts 7, the laminated body 1 and the cylindrical case 6. As a result, a high technique becomes unnecessary and fixation can be efficiently performed in an extremely simple manner and productivity is markedly enhanced.
