Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To manufacture an Al alloy for casting having superior neutron absorbing power by adding specified percentages of Gd, B, Si, Cu and Mg to Al. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy consisting of, by weight, 0.2-10% Gd, 0.2-5% B, 6-12% Si, 0.1-1.0% Cu and/or 0.1-1.0% Mg and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is manufactured. The Al alloy for casting has superior power to absorb thermal and fast neutrons and also has superior strength and heat resistance.
