Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To aim at reduction of the manhour required for a chain assembly operation by enabling a longitudinal chain to be used without being cut by way of connecting a chain to the longitudinal chain in such a manner that both ends of the chain are held with a pair of cross-cramp half bodies, into which two pieces of coupling member are inserted, and when these are coupled together, the engaging projections, which are provided on the central part of the half bodies, are caused to become inserted through the longitudinal crossing chain. CONSTITUTION:Both in front and in rear of a lengthy chain 2 are placed cross-clamp half bodies 3 so as to hold the chain 2, and then, a coupling member 6 is inserted through a pin inserting hole 13, and at the same time, a chain element assembly 1, which is located at the edge of another chain 2 and held with the edges of the cross-clamp half bodies 3, is inserted through the coupling member 6, and subsequently, a check pin 16 is hammered into a check pin hole 14 so that the coupling member 6 is fixed with the check pin 16 piercing it. Hereupon, at the center of the internal face of the cross-clamp half bodies 3 are provided engaging projections 5 respectively, and the engaging projections 5 are inserted through the chain element assembly 1 so as to engage with the chain 2. Subsequently, the same assembly operation is also performed at the edge on the reverse wide thereof so that the built-up of a chain crossing part is completed. Thereby, it is not necessary to cut a longitudinal chain, and a lengthy chain can be used as it is, and accordingly, the manhour required for a processing and assembly operation can be shortened. |
