EXAMPLE:4-Methylsulfonyloxy-N-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-benzamide. USE:A highly selective herbicide capable of suppressing the germination and growth of weeds and exhibiting a remarkable control effect on gramineous weeds, e.g. a barnyard grass, and monochoria of the family Pontederiaceae, etc. by the soil treatment under flooded conditions and inhibitory effects on broadleaf weeds such as long stemmed water-wort.
