STOCKER SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To make a rack position accord with a storage item as well as to facilitate an inventory change so easily, by installing a position signal in a stocker rack and a display signal in the storage item, respectively, and reading these signals with a reader simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A stocker controller 1 is operated by a delivery command out of a host controller and the indication of an input/output terminal unit 11. Its communication with the host controller is carried out with a data communication facility 4, and the contents comprise storage item's names and so on, including delivery and inventory reports to the host controller, while a delivery operation command is fed out of the host controller. These communication contents are processed by an operational management facility 5, and on the basis of these data, indication of operating instructions, etc., to a stocker 3 takes place. As for reading indication of a reader, read timing and reading data processes are carried out by a reader control facility 8, but, to be concrete, it is performed by scanning each bar code set up in a rack of the stocker or in the storage item wit a laser beam of the reader 2 having a laser beam scanning system all the time.
