IMAGE TRANSFER METHOD

PURPOSE:To simply perform the removal of base paper for layout, by bonding a support to the printed matter arranged on the base paper comprising a sheet made of a synthetic resin and the base paper under pressure and subsequently releasing the base paper from the support before removing the paper component of the printed matter to transfer an image to one surface of the support. CONSTITUTION:A support 1 is a transparent film comprising a resin such as polyester and a thermoplastic adhesive layer 10 is provided to the back surface thereof. A plurality of printed matters 2 each formed by printing an image on the surface of water-soluble rapid dispersible paper 21 are adhered to the smooth surface of base paper 4 being a sheet made of a synthetic resin and the image layer 20 on each printed matter is transferred to the support 1 through the next process. That is, the surface having the printed matters 2 adhered thereto of the base paper 4 is superposed to the back surface of the support 1 and, in this state, both of them are passed between a pair of heating rolls to be bonded under pressure before the base paper is released. Subsequently, the paper components is the printed matters each being the rapid dispersible paper are dispersed and dissolved in water. Therefore, the paper components in the base paper 4 and the printed matters 2 can be also removed without requiring a chemical solution.
