MAGNETIC RECORDING AND/OR REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device by reducing a space in the neighborhood of a guide drum, by guiding a magnetic tape by a vertical pole that turns rotatably freely at a loading time, and turning an oblique pole at the completing position of a loading. CONSTITUTION:At a device 10, a tape loading mechanism 15 to draw out the magnetic tape, and wind it on a guide drum 11 by a prescribed angle, is provided. At the drawing out time of the magnetic tape from a tape cassette 1 in a stop mode state, the magnetic tape drawn out from the cassette 1, is guided respectively by each of vertical poles 46 and 58 possible to turn rotatably freely that moves ahead of oblique poles 47 and 59 along a guide rail 45, and when arriving at the completing position of the loading, the tape is wound with the prescribed angle on the tape guide drum 11 by the turning of the oblique pole 47. In this way, a prescribed tape running system can be formed. Therefore, the space in the neighborhood of the drum can be reduced, and the device can be miniaturized.
