Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enable continuous production of cyclodextrin and to reduce the production cost of cyclodextrin, by culturing a novel thermophilic bacterial strain belonging to Bacillus genus and capable of producing cyclodextrin- synthesizing enzyme in a state bonded to the bacterial cell. CONSTITUTION:A thermophilic bacerial strain belonging to Bacillus genus and capable of producing a cyclodextrin-synthesizing enzyme, e.g. Bacillus KF5-1 (FERM P-8716), Bacillus KF9-10 (FERM P-8718) or Bacillus KF53-10 (FERM P-8717) is cultured in a mixed medium composed of corn steep liquor, soluble starch, ammonium sulfate, etc., at 65-75 deg.C for 12-72hr and the bacterial cells are collected from the medium. The bacterial strain has a lower pH limit for growth of 5 or 6 and/or an upper limit of salt resistance of 4-6% and/or can be grown in a 0.02% sodium azide medium.
