Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain a nonsintered nickel positive electrode having no peeling off of active material and good conductivity by forming a carbon layer comprising colloidal carbon on the surface of a nickel positive plate. CONSTITUTION:A paste-like active material mainly comprising nickel hydroxide is filled in a substrate made of spongy metal or fibrous metal having three dimensional continuous structure, and dried and pressed to obtain a positive plate. A carbon layer comprising colloidal carbon is formed on the surface of the positive plate to obtain a nonsintered nickel electrode. Even after repeating charge-discharge cycles, the peeling off of the active material can be prevented. Since the carbon layer is good conductor, even in high rate discharge less than tree times of the capacity, discharge performance equal to a sintered plate can be obtained. Therefore, sintering process can be eliminated. |
