Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To precisely detect the consumption limit of an anticorrosive electrode by providing a detection electrode consisting of a material having a lower ionization tendency than iron on the inner wall part of a steel water storage tank, and furnishing a potentiometer between the electrode and the water storage tank. CONSTITUTION:The anticorrosive electrode 12 consisting of a metal such as magnesium having a higher ionization tendency than iron is arranged in the steel water storage tank 11 always full of water and through which water W is circulated to form a galvanic cell between the anticorrosive electrode 12 and the steel, hence an anticorrosive electric current is passed through the tank 11, and the corrosion of the tank 11 due to a local cell is prevented. The detection electrode 21 at least the surface of which consists of a metal such as nickel having a lower ionization tendency than iron is fixed to the inner wall part of the tank 11 through an insulating bush 21a. The potential difference between the detection electrode 21 and the tank 11 is detected by the potentiometer 22. The consumption limit of the anticorrosive electrode 12 is detected by the lowering of the detected value of the potential difference to less than a specified value. |
