Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain the E-isomer of a specific triazole derivative, by reacting the Z-isomer which may contain the E-isomer of the specific triazole derivative with an acid and isomerization catalyst in an organic solvent and depositing separating and decomposing the salt of the above-mentioned E-isomer. CONSTITUTION:The Z-isomer (Z-form) of a compound expressed by formula I which may contain the E-isomer (E-form) is reacted with an acid, preferably methanesulfonic acid or sulfuric acid and an isomerization catalyst, preferably a compound forming a halonium ion, e.g. bromine or N-bromosuccinimide in an organic solvent and the resultant salt of the above-mentioned E-form is deposited, separated and decomposed to simultaneously carry out isomerization of the Z-form and separation of the E-form. Thereby the aimed E-form is industrially and readily obtained in high yield and quality without using special equipment. If the compound expressed by formula I is reduced, a compound expressed by formula II useful as a germicide, etc., and the E-form thereof has better efficacy than that of the Z-form. |
