COUNTER

PURPOSE:To make the height of a counter lower than the conventional one and to miniaturize the entire of the counter by making the light of a light source the pseudo parallel light. CONSTITUTION:The light source 3 is a linear light source for emitting the pseudo parallel light. The pseudo parallel light represents the light which does not emit the light radially like the light source generally used such as an incandescent lamp but projects the light at an optional and extremely small angle according to the interval of a hole 8 and an adjacent hole 8 pierced on a measured object 6, the diameter of the hole 8, the thickness in the light projection direction of the measured object 6, and the distance between the measured object 6 and a light receiving part 4 and is comparatively near to parallel light. Accordingly, the linear light source indicates the light source emitting with the extremely small angle in the direction crossing a linear direction width and a linear direction. The light source 3 is disposed at a lower part so as to reach the measured object 6 carried on a space 7 provided between the front carrier device 2a and the rear carrier device 2b of a carrier device 2.
