Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To heat the interior of an automobile preferably by coupling a mechanical supercharger with the engine power shaft, when a heating temperature is less than a predetermined temperature. CONSTITUTION:A heater 30 is provided with a duct 31, a blowing fan device 32 and a radiator 33. One end of the radiator 33 is coupled within a cooling water passage in a cylinder block 2 through a cooling water conductor 34, and the other end of the radiator 33 is coupled with the suction side of a water pump through a cooling water conductor 35. A temperature of cooling water flowing in the cooling water conductor 34 is detected based on an output signal from a water temperature sensor 36. When the temperature of cooling water is less than a set temperature, an electromagnetic clutch 24 is made to be in the coupling condition, and a mechanical supercharger 15 is operated.
