HEAD SUPPORT DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve flotation stability by making a projection provided to a folded part abut on the tip of a load beam part and forming a hollow which has larger curvature than the projection and also has its center axis aligned with the center line of a head at the load beam part that the projection abuts on. CONSTITUTION:A flexible body 7 consists of the folded part 10 fitted to the center part of the top surface of a head slider 1, the hemispherical projection 11 provided to the center part of the folded part 10, a fitting part 12 for fitting to the reverse surface of the load beam 6, and a leaf spring part 13 which connects with the tip of the folded part 10 from said fitting part 12 and presses the projection 11 against the center part of the reverse surface of the load beam 6. The reverse surface of the load beam 6 is not plane, but has the hollow 6A in a shape conforming with the shape of the projection 11. The hollow is cylindrical and has the larger curvature than the projection 11 and has its center axis aligned with the line which connects the centers of the projection 11 and head slider 1. The tip of the hemispherical projection 11 abuts on the reverse plane of the load beam 6.
