Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a battery by saving electricity, by intermittently performing the supply of a current to a detection circuit when a measuring apparatus is held to a standing state. CONSTITUTION:When the titled apparatus is converted to a standing state from a measuring state, a current supply OFF-signal is outputted to a switching circuit 42 from CPU 50 in a display head 5 and a displacement detection circuit 40 is brought to a cut-off state. Thereafter, CPU 50 holds the detection circuit 40 to the cut-off state until the synchronous signal S1 from a timing signal generating circuit 58 is inputted three times. CPU 50 performs no operational processing. When the input signal S1 reaches three times, CPU 50 outputs a current supply ON-signal to the circuit 42 to bring the detection circuit 40 to an active state. Next, CPU 50 performs the processing of measurement and display by the fourth input signal S1 to stop the supply of a current to the detection circuit 40.
