Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable a single person to perform measuring operation and confirmation of measured values, by, calculating the absolute level of the measuring point based on a position of light-receiving point on a light sensor, a level of the light sensor, etc., and displaying the absolute level thus found. CONSTITUTION:A light beam irradiating water level 12 is set on a level measuring point, the absolute level of the set point is measured and the results are introduced into an arithmetic operation unit 28a of a controller 28. Next, after defining an arithmetic operation system, (a) supporting frame 23 is displaced along a scale 22 in such a way that a laser beam B irradiated from a wide-angle lens 21 strikes a light-receiving sensor 26. A scale 24 introduces position and level of the light-receiving point in the sensor 26 into the unit 28a. The unit 28a calculates aforesaid level of the measuring point based upon this input information, and the result is issued out to a display unit 28b. Thus, a single man stationed at the measuring point can perform level measurements and level settings appropriate to various operation purposes easily and rapidly.
