Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a non-linear characteristic which is bulged in the toe-in direction, by arranging a pair of trailing arms so that the space therebetween is smaller at their front end than at their rear end, and by providing a resilient member having a hard elestic charcteristic in a small displacement range in the coupling part of a lateral rod. CONSTITUTION:A pair of support members 1a, 1b for supporting left and right rear wheels 1a, 1b are coupled together by means of a cross member 3 to which is connected the rear ends of a pair of trailing arms 5a, 5b having the front ends which is coupled to a vehicle body 4, displaciably in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body 4 by means of a resilient member 6. Further the cross member 3 and the vehicle body 4 are coupled with each other by means of a lateral rod 8 extending widthwise of the vehicle body 4. In this arrangement, the pair of the trailing arms 5a, 5b are arranged such that the space therebetween is smaller at their rear end than at their front ends. Further, the lateral rod 8 is arranged forward of the axis of the rear axle, and a resilient member 7 disposed in the coupling section of this rod 8 has such a characteristic that it is hard in a small displacement range while it is soft in a large displacement range.
