PURPOSE:To provide a temperature controlling system for heat pump type air conditioner, which is capable of adjusting its set temperature to suit heating operation of air conditioner by automatically adjusting a required temperature when operation of the air conditioner is switched from cooling operation to heating operation, thereby making it unnecessary to adjust temperature each time the operation is switched from ''cooling'' to ''heating'' or vice versa. CONSTITUTION:Voltage corresponding to the difference between a set temperature preset in temperature controller 3 and actual temperature detected by air temperature detector 4 having a negative characteristic which is disposed at the air inlet port of indoor heat exchanger unit openend in the room to be air conditioned is afforded to one input terminal (a) of comparator 5, while voltage obtained through sampling of the difference between the set temperature of temperature controller 3 and actual temperature during operation measured by air temperature detector 4 is afforded from micro computor 1 to another input terminal (b) of comparator 5. This comparator 5 is designed to produce a signal when the above two voltages are equal. When the signal is afforded to input port I3 of microcomputor 1, each section of air conditioner is controlled to attain required heating operation through the sampling of said temperature difference afforded from output ports 01-07 of micro computor 1.
