CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR

PURPOSE:To reduce the abrasion of a carbide chip by rotating the carbide chip provided along the tip of a screw flight and which is brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface of a rotating bowl by centrifugal force along the surface, and preventing the accumulation of sand, etc., on the inner surface of the rotating bowl. CONSTITUTION:In the centrifugal separator for separating a slurry into a solid and a liq., many carbide chips 10 consisting of a ceramic, etc., are arranged at the tip part 4a of the screw flight 4 along the part 4a, the carbide chips 10 are rotated in the same direction with the speed difference between the radially moving screw flight 4 and the rotating bowl 1, and hence the chip 10 to fit into the groove 11 of the screw flight 4 is protruded to the outside from the groove 11 by centrifugal force and rotated while being brought into contact with the inner peripheral surface 1a of the bowl 1. Accordingly, the abrasion of the carbide chip is reduced.
