DATA SAVING/RECOVERY SYSTEM AT THE TIME OF TESTING MAGNETIC DISC MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To easily save and restore a data in a short time by providing a track information storing means for saving, a means to save information from test-object track, a track detecting means for saving, and a means to restore information in test-object track. CONSTITUTION:A not yet used reserved track is found from a reserve track management table 2 by the track information storing means for saving 5, and in the thus found track, the track address and the data of and in the test-object track 3 is stored by the means to save information from test-object track 6. In case the recording-content in the main storage is erased because of an abnormality in program or system, the track address of the track for saving is obtained from the flag of the table 2 by the track detecting means for saving 7. And the track address of the test-object track 3 is obtained from the saved content in the track for saving by the means to restore information in test-object track 8, to restore the said content in the track 3. As a result, the necessity for additional medium for saving such as magnetic tape is eliminated, and the time necessary for the saving/restoring is made shorter.
