ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To facilitate unifying and changing specifications of an optical write head among device types by setting only parameters to switch optical write to positive write and negative write even in case of a printer of normal development and a printer of reversal development. CONSTITUTION:The first control means 101 controls the electrophotographic process of the printer body and consists of a printer controller 24. The first control means 101 sends print data to the second control means 102, and the second control means 102 controls the operation of the optical write head based on this print data. If the high level indicates closing of a liquid crystal light shutter in the optical write corresponding to the normal development process and indicates opening of the liquid crystal optical shutter in the optical write corresponding to the reversal development process in case data are in the high level and non-data are in the low level with respect to a video signal 20e, supporting H indicates closing of a liquid crystal light shutter at the optical writing corresponding to the normal development process, and H indicates opening of a liquid crystal light shutter at the optical writing corresponding to the reversal development process, switching between positive write and negative write is possible for a photosensitive body. Thus, the same optical write head can be mounted on the electrophotographic device of normal development as well as that of reversal development.
