Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of a surface to be worked by controlling the position, attitude and moving condition of a tool to be moved along the profile of the working surface and formed of at least one type of curve or a combination of straight line and curve in the profile of the outermost peripheral locus of moving tool projected onto a plane parallel to the center axis of the moving tool. CONSTITUTION:A tool having different curvatures on the cutting edge of the tool and shaped to fit the profile of a surface to be worked and formed of at least one type of curve represented by y=f(x) or straight line and curve in the projection of the cutting edge is used. And the position and moving condition of the tool is controlled according to the profile of the surface, and in addition, if necessary, the attitude of the tool is controlled by multiple spindle working so that the portions of the cutting edge having different curvatures act effectively on the surface. Thus, a working condition in which both curvatures approach each other as near as possible in the working point is provided to improve the accuracy of worked surface.
