Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce manufacturing cost and to enhance activity at low temp., by preparing an ozone decomposing agent from specific binary composite oxide and/or ternary composite oxide and a specific amount of activated carbon. CONSTITUTION:An A-component is prepared from binary composite oxide consisting of Ti and Si, binary composite oxide consisting of Ti and Zr and/or ternary composite oxide consisting of Ti, Si and Zr. 95-10wt% of the A- component and 5-90wt% of activated carbon being a B-component are kneaded to be molded into a desired shape and the molded body is dried and further baked, if necessary, to obtain an ozone decomposing agent. It is necessary to add a proper amount of water at the time of the aforementioned kneading. The drying of the molded body is performed at 50-200 deg.C and baking is pref. performed at 200-600 deg.C for 1-10hr in a non-oxidative atmosphere.
