CONTROL SYSTEM FOR DATA DICTIONARY/DIRECTORY SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To improve the operability for the register and control of a dictionary by providing a dictionary register means and a means which confirms the matching properties between related definitions independently of each other and checking said matching properties as necessary. CONSTITUTION:When a dictionary is registered, the information on definition to be registered to the dictionary is read out of a store memory 2 for informa tion on definition and analyzed. Then this information is registered to a diction ary file store memory 3 as long as it is grammatically correct. While the matching properties are checked just for the necessary information on the defini tion registered in the dictionary by a program stored in a store memory 5 for definition operating program and used for the check of the matching proper ties immediately before the information on the definition of the dictionary is needed for the generation of the directory, the check of a user program, etc. When the matching is secured, the information obtained through the check of the matching properties is added into the information on the definition to be referred to. Thus the dictionary is replaced.
