Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To stably operate a switching power source in a wide input voltage range by clamping a main switch with a low voltage when an input voltage is high and with a high voltage when the input voltage is low. CONSTITUTION:A main transformer 4 and a main switch 6 are connected in series with both ends of a DC input power source 1. The secondary side of the transformer 4 is connected with a rectifying and smoothing circuit 5, and its output is fed back through an error amplifier 9, a pulse-width modulator 8 and a driving circuit 7 to the switch 6. A clamp voltage generator 2 clamps, when the switch 6 is OFF, a voltage applied to the switch 6 with a high voltage when the input voltage of the power source 1 is low and with a low voltage when the input voltage is high.
