HIGH TEMPERATURE SLIDE WEAR TESTER

PURPOSE:To realize an environment similar to an actual application state, by heating a mating material to be slided with a test piece by a heating means up to a specified temperature while a specified contact pressure is applied by a pressure means between the test piece and the mating material. CONSTITUTION:A driving mechanism 5 is made up of a holding member 4 for holding a test piece 3, a connecting rod 8, a disc 10 and a motor 9 for driving the disc 10 and one end of the connecting rod 8 is linked to a holding member while the other end to the disc 10. With the action of the disc 10 and the connecting rod 8, a rotary motion of the motor 9 is converted to a reciprocating motion of the holding member to make the test piece 3 slide on the mating material 2. A pressurizing means 6 is made up of an arm 11 with one end so pivotted to turn freely, a pressure roller 12 pivotted rotatably and a load based hung on the other end side of the arm 11. The contact surface pressure is changed between the test piece 3 and the mating material 2 by changing a weight to be placed on the load base 13.
