GAS CHROMATOGRAPH

PURPOSE:To dispense with the replacing work of a capillary column and analytical condition setting work, by mounting a cassette equipped with the capillary column and a memory element to a main body in a freely detachable manner and writing an analytical condition in the memory element. CONSTITUTION:A cassette 1 is equipped with a capillary column 5, the specimen evaporation chamber 2 and detector 3 connected to both ends of the capillary column 5, thermostatic tank parts for the detector 3 and the evaporation chamber 2 and a memory element such as an IC card 8 storing an analytical condition and is mounted to a main body 11 in a freely detachable manner. By a control apparatus 16 to which the analytical condition written in the card 8 is set, the heating current supplied to the heaters 10a, 10b, 18 of the thermostatic tank part for the evaporation chamber 2, the thermostatic tank part of the detector 3 and the thermostatic tank for the column is controlled to control not only the temp. rising condition of the column 5 and the heating conditions of the detector 3 and the evaporation chamber 2 but also the amplifying degree of an amplifier 20 and the detection condition such as the range of the detection current from the detector 3 is controlled.
