Zusammenfassung:	The method is for producing homogeneous flat articles with a coloured design on the basis of thermoplastic materials, in particular on the basis of PVC, in which free-flowing powders or particles are poured continuously onto a supporting belt to form an even layer and, under the effect of heat until plasticising of the thermoplastic material, initially sintered to form a coherent porous flat article, then cooled if necessary and at least one liquid or free-flowing meltable coloured medium is applied in predetermined patterns. The medium penetrates into the initially sintered layer down to the desired depth, in particular through the entire thickness of the layer, and then the coloured, initially-sintered layer is compressed under the effect of pressure and heat to form compact flat articles.
