EDITING SYSTEM FOR INTRA-GRAPHIC CHARACTER STRING

PURPOSE:To completely store a character string within a closed pattern by calculating the distributing position of each character to display again these characters at each calculated position when the closed pattern is deformed or the distributing start point of the character string is changed. CONSTITUTION:When a closed pattern is deformed, the new coordinate data is fetched and the apex coordinates of the graphic data on a graphic table are changed. Then the closed pattern is changed into a closed pattern 100 and displayed on a (CRT) 4. While the position of the character string which is inclined in the pattern 100 and can be arranged is obtained from the type 52 of the character, the character pitch 53, the line pitch 54 and the X and Y coordinates 56 and 57 of character string start point which are included in the data 43 on a character string of a character table 40 as well as the form data of the pattern 100. This obtained position of the character string is displayed on the CRT 4 in the form of rectangles 101 shown by broken lines. Then the data 43 on the character string is set again at the distributable position of the character string and displayed on the CRT 4. In such a way, the re-editing job is possible so that the character string is included automatically within the pattern 100 of an optional form.
