Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To prevent a thermal transfer recording sheet recorded with images from curling, by heat-treating a synthetic paper base of the thermal transfer recording sheet in which a receiving layer for receiving a dye transferred from a thermal transfer sheet on heating is provided on one side of the synthetic paper base. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer recording sheet 1 comprises a receiving layer 3 provided on one side of a synthetic paper base 2. The paper base 2 is heat treated. Though the conditions under which the paper base 2 is to be heat treated depend on the thickness and the constituents of the base 2, namely, on the kind of the base 2, the heat treatment is ordinarily performed by heating to 60-140 deg.C, preferably, 110-130 deg.C for 2-3sec or longer. Though the heat treatment usually causes the paper base to shrink to some extent, the treatment ensures that when the paper base is extent, the treatment ensures that when the paper base is heated by a thermal head or the like or thermal transfer, it is unlikely to shrink on a microscopic basis under local heat after the heating. Accordingly, the thermal transfer recording sheet is prevented from curling or being rugged. |
