Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To maintain the dried condition of an intake passage adequately and prevent a torque shock and an engine stop when fuel feed is resumed by performing leak feed after a predetermined time has elapsed since the stop time when fuel feed is stopped. CONSTITUTION:During the engine operation, whether the operation condition of an engine 1 is in a fuel cut region or not is first judged by a control unit 100 based on the engine rotating speed and throttle opening. If the judgement is Yes, the fuel injection quantity from a fuel injection valve 25 is set to zero to stop fuel feed. In this case, the fuel cut period is measured. When it is judged that the predetermined fuel cut period has elapsed, leak feed of fuel is started. The fuel leak quantity is set in response to the negative intake pressure at that time so that fuel is stuck adequately on the inner wall face of an intake passage 12. Accordingly, a torque shock and an engine stop are prevented from occurring when fuel feed is resumed.
