Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obviate the generation of defective painting even if a vehicle body deviates in position by painting the outside plate part of the vehicle body while moving plural painting guns disposed on the planes horizontal and perpendicular to the vehicle body with respect to the outside plate part. CONSTITUTION:The vehicle body 2 is tact-conveyed and the inside plate part of the vehicle body is painted by painting robots. The outside plate part 2a-A of the vehicle body is painted by the plural painting guns 30a, 31a disposed on the planes horizontal and perpendicular to the vehicle body while said guns are moved with respect to the above-mentioned outside plate part. As a result, the generation of the defective painting is obviated despite the positional deviation of the vehicle body and the need for a long painting booth is eliminated. There is, therefore, no need for a large space and the energy for air conditioning is economized. The initial cost, etc., are thus reduced.
